City of Lincoln Firefighters respond to midnight fire Tuesday

[June 25, 2014]  LINCOLN - At 12:09 a.m. June 24th, the Lincoln Fire Department received a call of a reported structure fire with smoke and flames at 644 7th Street.

Lincoln Police were the first on the scene and gained entry into the structure assisted by an off-duty Lincoln firefighter. They conducted a quick search of the residence and found no occupants. Upon Lincoln Fire department’s arrival, they found smoke coming from a bedroom window. Firefighters made entry with a 1-3/4” attack line and found some contents burning in a room. The fire was extinguished and was contained to one room.

The property loss is valued at $18,000.

Lincoln rural Fire Department, Lincoln Police, and the Logan County Paramedics Association assisted the Lincoln fire department at the scene.

There were no injuries reported.

The fire is currently under investigation at this time.
