[June 26, 2014]  June 25 (The Sports Xchange) - The NFL and former players suing the league for past head trauma announced Wednesday that the previous $765 million settlement was revised and payments to players will be uncapped.

The announcement comes after U.S. District Judge Anita Brody in January questioned whether there would be enough money to cover as many as 20,000 retired players.

The Dallas Cowboys signed former Jacksonville Jaguars guard Uche Nwaneri, the team announced.

Nwaneri, 30, was released by Jacksonville in March as a cap-saving move.

The Seattle Seahawks signed rookie wide receiver Kevin Smith, the team announced Wednesday.

Smith recorded a team-high 765 receiving yards on 50 catches with four receiving touchdowns during his senior season at the University of Washington in 2013, averaging 58.8 yards per game. (Editing by Frank Pingue)
