Relay For Life sets meeting dates

[March 05, 2014]  Relay For Life of Logan County has set meeting times until the date of the 2014 Relay, which will be from 6 p.m. July 25 to 6 a.m. July 26 on the Lincoln College campus. The theme this year is "Cooking Up A Cure for Cancer."

Committee and team meetings will be at Lincoln Christian Church, with the committee meetings at 6 p.m. and the team meetings at 7 each time. Dates are March 24, April 28, May 19, June 30 and July 14. On "bank night," June 30, materials will be available from 5 to 8 at Illini Bank in Lincoln.

Former team members are encouraged to sign up, and new teams can register by contacting the Relay For Life of Logan County at [e-mail]. Or call Carol Motley at 732-8032.

Bill Post, at 217-732-7564, is chairman of the luminaria forms and can accept requests for them at any time.

All survivors need to re-register so that address and information is correct for event mailings to be sent to the survivors and so survivor shirts and pins can be ordered. Survivor registration can be done at any of the monthly meetings, at the Relay For Life table at the Logan County Health Fair or by calling the co-chairs: Tonita Reifsteck, 217-855-1645, or Esther Boward, 217-445-2627.
