[May 07, 2014]  MACON - Audry Day, from Blue Mound, IL, has signed a national letter-of-intent to play women's soccer and basketball at Lincoln Christian University. Day has earned scholarships for both sports at LCU, as she finishes her prep career at Meridian High School in Macon, IL.

Lincoln Christian Women’s Soccer Head Coach Todd Spellman traveled to Meridian High School to officiate the signing and welcome Day into the LCU family. The signing was also attended by Day’s parents and some of her teammates.

Spellman expressed excitement about Day’s potential, “Audry is a natural athlete who could contribute on our team in many areas, but I hope she will be able to go forward for us and create some scoring opportunities. I am confident that she will also bring outstanding character and integrity with her.” LCU Women’s Basketball Head Coach Donnie Bowman, was equally excited about Day’s commitment to LCU.

LCU’s School of Undergraduate Studies is a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) and has been awarded membership in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) beginning fall 2014.
