Video messages played from many of LCU's missionaries from around
the world illuminated the school’s global impact in 70 years.
The celebration also featured Dr. Rondal Smith as keynote speaker.
Dr. Smith, an LCU alumnus and a 16 year professor and academic dean
for the school; also served as chairman of the founding board for
Pioneer Bible Translators. He and his wife Janice continue to work
with PBT in its global outreach, and as in Christian educators and
Dr. Smith's challenging message was taken from Rev. 5: 1-14 and
titled, "The Unfinished Task! Let's do it!" At the heart of the
passage is a future vision of worship before God in heaven. The
celebration recognizes the salvation of "men from every tribe and
tongue and people and nation," - Rev. 5: 9e, New American Standard.
Other speakers on this day were Dr. Rochelle Cathcart, assistant
professor of intercultural studies, who offered the invocation; Dr.

The school has had more than 16,000 students have pass
through its doors, and alumni "serve the Lord in all 50 U.S.
states and more than 165 countries." And, in one week, on
Saturday, May 17, its next graduates will enter the world.
