Illinois American Water cuts ribbon on new offices and distribution center

Wednesday morning, several gathered at the new offices of Illinois American Water to participate in a ribbon cut and officially open the doors of the new facility.

The new building is located at 311 Limit Street, next to the Knights of Columbus Hall.

Information provided by Karen Cotton of Illinois American stated:

"This investment of about $1 million will improve operational efficiencies and enhance customer service. The new building will provide an enhanced environment to support operations in providing continued reliable and high-quality service to customers. The facility is approximately 8,900 sq. ft. and includes an improved customer service area; expanded equipment storage and maintenance garage with three garage bays; and dedicated operations and maintenance areas. Korte & Lutijohan out of Highland was contracted to complete the design build which included engineering work by Prairie Engineers of Illinois located in Lincoln."
