ZLS receives Governor's Award at the Illinois History Expo

[May 16, 2014]  LINCOLN - Zion Lutheran School received the Governor’s Award at the Illinois History Expo held at the Prairie Capital Convention Center in Springfield.

The presentation was given by Amy Martin, director of the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency, during the Illinois History Expo Awards Ceremony.

The award was given “for excellence in the practice of student historical research and history education.”

One hundred and seventy-two schools from around the state participated in this year’s History Expo.

Zion Lutheran School has been participating in the Illinois History Expo for about 20 years.
