ZLS student receives special award at Illinois History Expo

[May 16, 2014]  LINCOLN - Tori Tripplett, Zion Lutheran School 8th grader, received a special award at the Illinois History Expo held at the Prairie Capital Convention Center in Springfield.

Paula Myers, Illinois State Historian, presented the Illinois Society Colonial Dames XVII Century Award during the awards ceremony at the Illinois History Expo.

Tori received recognition for her History project entitled “How did the Cahokia Mounds impact the early days of the people of Illinois?”
