[May 27, 2014]  LINCOLN  - Christine A. March, 97, of Lincoln passed away at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Symphony of Lincoln Nursing Home.

Visitation: 4-7:00 p.m.. on Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Service: 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home

Obituary

Christine A. March, 97, of Lincoln passed away at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Symphony of Lincoln Nursing Home.

Christine was born on December 8, 1916, in Perry Co., IL, daughter of Michael and Mathilda Roemhild Mayer.  She was united in marriage to LeRoy March on October 2, 1943, in Bay City, TX.  He preceded her in death on February 2, 1978.

Christine is survived by her children: George March of Lincoln; Ron (Georgianna) March of Lincoln; and Betty Jean Blakley (Dave Hohl) of Dawson, IL; grandchildren: Clint Blakley, Kess Blakley-Dambacher, Jeff March, Kristy Ramlow, Michael March, and Tenika Hervey; and eleven great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother: George Mayer, sister: Dolly Coleman; and one great granddaughter.

Christine worked at the Lincoln Developmental Center as a Tech III and retired in September in 1978.  She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln.

Services for Christine will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.  A visitation will be held from 4-7:00 p.m.. on Wednesday, May 28, at the funeral home.  Burial will be at New Union Cemetery in Lincoln.  Memorials may be made to the Oasis.
