Zion Lutheran School Eighth-grade graduation photos and awards

[May 29, 2014]  LINCOLN - Zion Lutheran School presented diplomas to 15 eighth grade class members at the school’s recent graduation service.


Class members were:
Front row:  Rita Harris, Emma Ritterbush, Lauren Canady, and Kathryn Nobbe;
Middle row: Emily Messner (Valedictorian), Ashlan Broom, Mya Roberts, Emma Cooper, and Lance Podbelsek;
Back row:  Michael Newhouse, Nathan Ford, Gabbie Cox, Katie Hunsley (Salutatorian), Tori Tripplett, and Ethan Goodey.


Emily Messner (right) was the class Valedictorian and Katie Hunsley (left) is the Salutatorian.

The American Legion award was presented to Kathryn Nobbe.

The D.A.R. Award, for the top History student, went to Emily Messner.

Presidential Academic Achievement Award winners were: Nathan Ford, Katie Hunsley, Emily Messner, Kathryn Nobbe, and Emma Ritterbush.

The class Scripture verse was from Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

“I know not what the future holds; but I know who holds the future” was the class motto.

Chosen class colors were violet and cream.
