ATLANTA - Pistol Prep Academy, Inc.
hosted their first Ladies Only Shooting Clinic at the new shooting
range in Atlanta on Thursday, May 22nd. The event was facilitated by
Annette Chapman, Owner of and Chief Instructor at Pistol Prep
Academy, and several of the PPA Instructor Team.
Before taking their places at the firing line, basic safety rules
and gun handling techniques were reviewed. For those with little or
no experience, Instructors were on hand to help them get started and
answer questions as they arose.
The ladies in attendance all had the opportunity to learn and
practice shooting in a relaxed and supportive environment with
guidance and instruction as needed or requested. At the conclusion
of the event, the group reviewed what they had learned and were
eager to find out when the next shooting clinic would be held so
they could do it again.
The attendees were asked before they left one thing they’d learned
and the responses varied from grip and/or stance technique to
ballistic information on ammunition.
The next Ladies Only Shooting Clinic will be held on June 26th and
then on the fourth Thursday of each month from 6-8:30 p.m. Shooters
should have a FOID card and are asked to bring their own pistol(s),
factory loaded ammunition, and eye and ear protection. If someone
would like to attend but doesn’t own a gun, arrangements may be made
to borrow one for a small fee.
