Logan County 4-H announces achievement award winners

[November 05, 2014]  LINCOLN - Logan County 4-H recently selected Achievement and Award winners.

Some 4-H'ers are chosen each year in Special Award categories. A book is presented to a 4-H'er with outstanding work, quantity, quality, years, citizenship, leadership, participation, skill acquisition and growth. These are given in three age categories: 8 - 10 years of age, 11 - 13 years of age, and 14 - 19 years of age. Local book award sponsors include Mike Booher, State Bank of Lincoln, Brandt Consolidated, Scott & Kelly Tucker Family, Farm Credit Illinois, Atlanta Ag 4-H Club, Middletown 4-H’ers, Hollanders 4-H Club, and The Pioneers 4-H Club.

A Blue Award is given to a 4-H'er deserving of repeat recognition in a category. In the 14-19 years of age category the medal awards are nationally sponsored and may only be received once in each curriculum area. The top award winners in the major award categories for 2014 are as follows:
