Friday night Dinner Program at the Palms Grill
Rt. 66 in Illinois

ATLANTA - Co-authors Joe Sonderman and Cheryl Eichar Jett will be on hand for a slide show presentation and stories about Americaís Mother Road from its Chicago roots to the Mississippi River, including our own Atlanta. Sonderman and Jett are experienced authors and historians who have 19 books to their credit, many on Route 66. The past year was a labor of love as they explored the back roads of Route 66 in Illinois. They collected thousands of photographs along the way, selecting about 200 of their favorites for their newest book about the Mother Road.   (Click here to continue reading)

For all those facing anxiety and loss, St. Johnís Hartsburg is hosting a Service of Solace Ė a time to worship, share memories and remember those we hold dear but are no longer with us. As a community of faith, we share in each otherís joys and pain. All are invited to join together for a quiet service interspersed with songs and a hopeful message for those who are grieving.

Electronics recycling held on the second Saturday of each month

Habitat for Humanity Logan County will hold its monthly electronics recycling collection on the second Saturday of each month at the Habitat for Humanity warehouse located at 915 Woodlawn Road between the hours of 9 AM and noon. The collection is offered free of charge to the public. Habitat for Humanity Logan County continues to collect televisions for recycling.  (Click here to continue reading)
