[November 12, 2014]  MIDDLETOWN - Casey Lane Nelson, 23, of Middletown, passed away November 4, 2014 at her residence.

 

Visitation:  Noon Monday at Holland Barry and Bennett Funeral Home, Lincoln.

Service: 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Obituary

Casey Lane Nelson, 23, of Middletown passed away November 4, 2014 at her home.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 10, 2014 at 12:00 noon with funeral services immediately following at 1:00 p.m. at Holland Barry and Bennett Funeral Home, Lincoln. Burial will take place at Irish Grove Cemetery in New Holland.

Casey was born October 2, 1991 in Belleville, IL the daughter of Sandra Nelson.

Casey graduated from Lincoln Community High School in 2010 and attended Lincoln College. She enjoyed scary movies, reading, writing stories and poems, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a jokester and loved to play pranks. Her favorite color was pink. She loved her kitty MJ.

Surviving are her mother Sandra Nelson of Middletown, IL., her fiancé, James Massey, her grandmother, Wynona Skinner, both of Middletown, and her uncles, Dale (Kay) Nelson of Mason City, Butch (Toy) Bibly of Park Forest, and Jack Bibly of Benton Harbor, MI., her cousins Dale (Lisa) Nelson of Lincoln, IL., Jessie Nelson of Springfield, IL., and Mike Parrish of Lincoln, IL., and several other cousins. She is also survived by her godmother, Tammy Rodems and her good friend, Dana Heyen, both of Middletown, IL.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, “Skip” Skinner.

Memorial donations may be made to Sandra Nelson and will be received at the funeral home.
