[November 17, 2014]  LINCOLN - Main Street Lincoln announced this week that the theme for this year's Lincoln Christmas Parade is "A Frozen Christmas".

You can ask almost anybody, and they have seen or heard of Disney's hit animated children’s movie "Frozen" featuring characters Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Sven, and the enchanted snowman, Olaf. Word has it that Elsa will be making an appearance at the parade that takes place on Thursday, December 4, 2014. The parade will kick off promptly at 5:30pm and make its way through historical downtown Lincoln.

Main Street Lincoln will once again be hosting the "Ride Along with Santa" contest, offering one lucky child, ages 5-12, the chance to ride along with Santa in his sleigh during the parade. Parents may enter their child by visiting the Main Street Lincoln Facebook page.

The first opportunity for children to take photos with Santa will be immediately following the Christmas parade in the Courthouse rotunda. Several area businesses will also be hosting additional visits with Santa between now and Christmas. You may find Santa's appearance schedule on his Facebook page; www.facebook.com/MerryChristmasSanta
