Anderson and Block announce college choices

[November 18, 2014]  LINCOLN - On Monday afternoon two Lincoln Community High School athletes signed their college letters of intent for the 2015-16 school year.

Parents:  Darren and Beth Anderson

Sport:  volleyball

Awards:  All-CS8 as a Junior and Senior; All-Tournament at O"Fallon as a Senior; All-Tournament at Lincoln as a Senior; All-Tournament at Bradley-Bourbonnais as a Junior.

Other activities:  National Honor Society, Future Farmers of America, Student Government, 4-H and LEAF Club

College:  College of Coastal Georgia

Anticipated Major:  Nursing

Why do you feel this college is the right choice for you?

It is small and has a sucessful volleyball program.  It also has a great nursing program.

Plus, the beach is only a few miles away!

Awards:  All-CS8 as a Sophmore and Junior; All-Tournament at Lincoln as a Junior; Second team All-State as a Junior; scored over 1,000 career points

Other activities:  helping with Special Olympics

College:  Ohio University

Anticipated Major:  Sports Management
