Mayor Appoints Todd Mourning to Fill Ward 3 Vacancy Effective December 16th

[November 18, 2014]  LINCOLN - Lincoln Mayor Keith Snyder Monday evening appointed Lincoln resident Todd Mourning to the Ward 3 aldermanic seat effective December 16, 2014. The mayor received and accepted Ald. Tom O’Donohue’s resignation from the seat to become effective at the close of the City Council meeting on Monday, December 15th.

Todd resides at 221 N. Logan St. in Lincoln. He is the Manager of Rehabilitation Services at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. He also oversees Dieticians and Cardiology/
Respiratory and manages a staff of 35 clinical and non-clinical employees.

Todd earned a bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University and both a Master's degree and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from St. Ambrose University. He holds Green Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma techniques and has participated in Memorial Health Systems' Leadership Development Institute since 2005.

Todd is originally from Jerseyville, IL. He and his wife, Linda, moved to Lincoln in 2003. They have three children: Tate, Levi, and Hattie. Todd is currently a member of the City of Lincoln Planning Commission. The Mournings were named the 2013 Citizens of the Year for Ward 3 last December.

He and his family are very active in the Lincoln soccer programs and in "From the Ground Up." Todd enjoys golf, sports with his kids, and camping with his family.

“I look forward to Todd joining the Council,” Mayor Snyder said. “He has great leadership skills, a passion for this community, and a desire to move Lincoln forward. He’ll be a great addition for the City of Lincoln.”
