 The newly renamed Saturday Showcase is what was the St. John's
Hospital Athleticare/Sports Radio 1450 Shootout. “We’re taking
what was the St. John’s Hospital Athleticare/Sports Radio 1450
Shootout for the past twelve years and now re-naming it due to it
becoming a true showcase for Springfield Area Basketball, especially
the Central State Eight Conference.
'We are truly excited about bringing an entire day of competitive
High School Basketball to a great venue like the PCCC. We hope all
basketball fans will come out for one or all of the games on
December 6th.," said Kevin O’Dea, President/General Manager Sports
Radio 1450
 The highlights of the day will include:
- 8 games
- One price, only $5
- Special FREE Kids Area featuring face painting, carnival
games, inflatables, and more
- Shoot to win a brand new Ford from Bob Ridings in
Taylorville at halftime of each Central State Game. Three
contestants will have a chance to win in each game.
- First time ever all (now 10) Central State Eight Varsity
Basketball Teams will play in the same venue/same day.
