[November 18, 2014]  LINCOLN - Top 4-H members across the nation will gather in Atlanta, Ga. for the 93rd National 4-H Congress scheduled for Nov. 28 through Dec. 2.

4-H members earned the right to attend by excelling in their project work. Each member selected first completed and submitted their 4-H records at the local county level and then moved on to competition at the state level with over 100 applicants. Members are evaluated on their work in project mastery, leadership, community service and citizenship throughout their entire 4-H career.

Illinois will be represented at National 4-H Congress by 26 state 4-H award winners that include Logan County 4-H members Troy Rawlings of New Holland and Alyssa Zimmer of Lincoln. Troy was awarded a trip in the Animal Science project area and Alyssa received her award trip in the Food, Nutrition & Health project area.
