[November 24, 2014]  Pride of the Prairie - The 20th Annual Pride of the Prairie Folk Art and Craft Show is just around the corner. Hosted at the park district this juried show features some of the area’s finest artisans and craftsmen. Several new vendors have been added to this year’s event. The vendors were chosen for the quality and design of their work.

The event features primitives, folk art, watercolors, quilts, iron sculptures, fiber art, country collectibles, jewelry, paper crafts, rag rugs, floral arrangements and much more. This is an excellent source for personal and unique gifts for the upcoming holiday season. Join us Saturday, November 29th from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Take the Turkey Challenge

Don’t be a chicken, take the Turkey Challenge. Instructors Jacki, Danita and Heather invite you to join them for a “pre-thanksgiving” workout. Mark Wednesday, November 26th on your calendars. The class will consist of 30 minutes of Sports Step Interval Training, 30 minutes of Upper Limit (arms) and 30 minutes of Mini Boot Camp. The instructors promise to make this a fun and effective workout. The Turkey Challenge will take the place of all regularly scheduled evening classes. Remember, don’t be a chicken, challenge yourself.
