Visitation: 2 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader, Mount Pulaski

Service: 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home

Obituary

Darrel Wayne Dambacher, 76, passed away at his home at 8:01 a.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2014.

Darrel was born on September 22, 1938, in Riverton, son of Eldon Frederick and Lydia Thelma Dennison Dambacher. He was united in marriage to Shirley Gill on September 3, 1965, in Lincoln. She preceded him in death on July 26, 2013. Darrel is survived by his daughters: Sheryl Dewitt of Mount Pulaski, and JoAnne Kindred of Lincoln; grandchildren: Justin (Amanda) Dambacher of Bloomington; Nathan (April) Dambacher of Monticello; Matthew Dambacher of Springfield; Cameron Dambacher of Mount Pulaski; Marissa and Miranda Kindred of Lincoln; brother: Eldon Eugene Dambacher; and sisters: Thelma Elaine Seiz and Lydia Ann; and great grandchildren: Hope, Tyra, and Payton. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother; Gerald Dean Dambacher; sister: Leah Mae Theobald; and his son: Robert Dambacher.

Darrel was a payload driver for Mount Pulaski Products for 45 years. He was also a diehard Cardinal fan.

Services for Darrel will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2014 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 2 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 12, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Carlyle Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Lake Fork Community Center or to the American Heart Association.
