[October 14, 2014]  SPRINGFIELD – Families are invited to come in costume and enjoy the 3rd Annual “Spooktacular Evening with Abe” on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum in downtown Springfield.

The “Spooktacular Evening” is suitable for all ages and includes historical characters “haunting” the exhibit journeys, special eerie lighting and music, and spooky storytelling in Union Theater. There’s also a kids’ costume contest with prizes, a scavenger hunt, crafts and games, and a special showing of “Ghosts of the Library.” Refreshments will be provided, and the Museum’s Gift Shop will be open during the evening.

The cost is $10 per family, and tickets must be purchased by Oct. 16 by calling (217) 558-8934 or visiting www.presidentlincoln.illinois.gov

Children must be accompanied by adults, and adults in costume are asked to refrain from wearing masks or hoods.
