[October 14, 2014]  LINCOLN - Apple strudel, hot German potato salad, red cabbage, sauerkraut and apple cider all homemade, alongside bratwurst from Arthur, German chocolate or angel food cake and applesauce will finish satisfying all the taste buds of anyone longing for the family traditional meals just like Grandma used to make. Enjoy this good meal to the sounds of the Alley Kats Polka music.

Germanfest will be held 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 18 in the Fellowship Hall of St. John United Church of Christ, 204 7th St. in Lincoln. The Oasis Senior Center and St. John have united again for this 15th year of tastes and music of the old country. A bake sale and 50/50 drawing will be on site as well. A drive thru carry-out will be available on the west parking lot accessible off 8th Street on the alley. Free delivery in town with an order of six or more pre-paid tickets is also available. All pre-event tickets are $9, while tickets purchased at the door will be $10.

Tickets can be purchased at the Oasis, (217)732-6132) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday or at the office of St. John (217)732-6957 during the same time, or from any Board member of the Oasis or St. John members.
