Lady Toppers valiant effort falls just short

[October 15, 2014]  MOUNT PULASKI - The Lady Toppers played their hearts out on Senior Night but came up short against Pleasant Plains. The scores were as close as you can get in volleyball with the Lady Toppers falling in three games 23-25, 25-23 and 23-25.

Mount Pulaski was led by juniors Maddy Davis with 17 kills and Lilly Pickett with 6 kills. Whitney Nichols also added 5 kills and 10 digs. Maggie Olson chipped in 2 kills and 18 assists. Sophomore Alexandra Beckers added 15 assists while Elizabeth Allen came up with 8 digs.

The Lady Toppers record stands at 14-6 as they travel to Riverton Thursday night for a 6:00 game. This weekend the team travels to Glenbard for the Autumn Fest Tournament. On Saturday, October 25 Mount Pulaski will also host its annual Topper Tourney.
