How long have you been a Chamber member?

A very long time. I am not sure how long Eaton has been a member.

I joined the Chamber because....

Eaton joined the Chamber many years ago to support the community, local businesses and economic growth.

Why did you decide to invest in Logan County?

Cutler-Hammer relocated manufacturing from the Bronx, New York, to Lincoln, IL in 1957 due to the fact that they had outgrown the facility there. They purchased a 96-tract of land and began construction of the plant in 1957. The decision to come to Central Illinois had to do with location, accessibility to highways and rail and the availability of labor. Eaton purchased Cutler-Hammer in the 1970’s.

What products and services do you offer to Logan County?

We are a manufacturer of power distribution devices that are used in homes, such as load centers (circuit breaker panels), air conditioning disconnects and metering devices.

Where do you see your business in 5 years?

Over the next five years we anticipate annual growth in business due to new and advanced product offerings, growth in market share and general market growth.
