So, if you are three-years-old through fourth grade, plan on meeting with us on Wednesday nights, 6:30-7:45 p.m. and bring a friend! You’ll be glad you did! Lincoln Christian Church, 204 N.  Rally Day at 9:00 a.m. on September 7th

The Rally Day theme for Sunday School is “Pop-In Day” for St. John United Church of Christ worship and activities, and will be based on the songs from the Mary Poppins musical, “Feed the Birds” and “Super-cali-fragil-istic-expi-ali-docious” . The story, “Creation” and “Feed the Hungry” (even the animals) with clips from the Mary Poppins movie will be shared. Music will be led by Donna Kessinger. A Reading table will feature “The Hungry Caterpillar”, “Green Eggs and Ham” and other classic children’s reading that fit into the theme of the day: “Pop-In Day”. Activities will include making a simple Bird Feeder and snacks will follow the completion of the activities at the interest centers. All activities will be in the Fellowship Hall of St. John except for the feeding of the birds which, weather permitting, will be outdoors.
Questions concerning either program can directed to Pastor Jan Johnson by calling the church office at 217-732-6957.

Fall Session of Women’s Bible Study

Interruptions. They’re aggravating. They make us want to tell people what we think of them. But how we handle interruptions actually tells us more about ourselves. The prophet Jonah’s existence was interrupted by a call of God that would require a complete change of life.
When Jonah was willing to allow God to interrupt his life, the result was revival in an entire city.

The fall session of Women’s Bible Study
begins on Monday, September 8 at 7:00 p.m., or Tuesday, September 9 at 1:00 p.m
. Sign up in the Family Room on September 7. Lincoln Christian Church, 204 N. McLean St. For information call 732-7618.
