NFL roundup: Vikings activate RB Peterson

The Minnesota Vikings announced Monday that running back Adrian Peterson will fully participate in this week's practices and meetings and is expected to play in New Orleans.

Peterson was deactivated by the Vikings for this past Sunday's game on Friday following an indictment by a grand jury on charges of reckless or negligent injury to a child, who is his 4-year-old son. Peterson was booked into Montgomery County (Texas) jail Saturday and was released after posting $15,000 bond.

Peterson will make his first court appearance Wednesday in Conroe, Texas on the child abuse charge. He is expected to enter a plea at the hearing.

Peterson released a statement Monday saying that he "very much" wants to share his story with the public, but that he's limited about what he can say about a pending court matter.

Hardy was arrested for assaulting a woman and communicating threats in May and was found guilty in July. He is appealing for a jury trial.

Head coach Bruce Arians said Abraham will work toward getting cleared from his recent concussion.
