Shareholders approve merger of East Lincoln Farmers Grain and Topflight Grain

[September 16, 2014]  LINCOLN - On Monday August 25 the East Lincoln Farmers Grain shareholders voted and approved to merge into Topflight Grain Cooperative, Inc. effective September 1, 2014.

Todd Steinberg will serve as Western division manager for Topflight Grain based at the Kruger location and Scott Docherty will remain as General Manager based at the Monticello location.

East Lincoln has five locations in Logan County with 5.6 million bushels permanent storage and 850,000 bushels of temporary storage. East Lincoln has 11 employees moving into the Topflight team that will continue to serve the new patrons of Topflight Grain. The new combined permanent storage capacity of Topflight Grain Cooperative, Inc. will be 33.5 million bushels and projected grain volumes will be 40-42 million bushels annually served by 61 fulltime employees.
