Canadian junior player of the year suffered a broken leg in a rookie

Columbus right wing Nathan Horton will be out of action indefinitely
with a back injury that has bothered the 29-year-old for most of the
summer.
The Blue Jackets are not expecting him to participate in training
camp, and the Columbus Dispatch said Horton cold miss the first part
of the season.

Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Kimmo Timonen said he is not
retiring, but the chances of playing again appeared "really slim."
Many thought the 39-year-old Timonen was going to retire during
Thursday's news conference because of a blood clots in his lungs and
