LCHS announces schedule for Homecoming Week

[September 23, 2014]  LINCOLN - Lincoln Community High School will have its annual Homecoming parade on October 10th at 2:30 p.m.  Anyone interested in being in the parade can contact Chris Hammer at chammer@lchs.k12.il.us  by September 22nd. The official line up will be sent out September 26th.

Below is a schedule of student activities for Homecoming Week:

2014 LCHS HOMECOMING WEEK
October 6th - October 11th

Theme: “Railers around the World”

Royalty: September 29th nominations; October 2nd final voting

Dress-Up Day Themes: *Participation will be counted 3rd hour Monday- Friday

Monday, Oct. 6, 2014 : America Monday Everyone wears USA colors

Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014: World Cup Wear favorite sport hat/shirt (Hats not supporting sports teams are not allowed!)

Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014: Olympics Support your class!

Freshman: White; Sophomore: Green; Juniors: Red; Seniors: Black

Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014: Tourist Day Wear any worldly shirt, like one from vacation

Friday, Oct. 10, 2014: Railer Pride Wear red and green, it can be crazy Railer attire
Anything goes within the dress code

Float Building: September 22th-October 6th Must be within 3:30 to 9:00

Tuesday, October 7th
Float judging, right after school at the building sites

Wednesday, October 8th
Senior class picture, 7:30 a.m.
Cookout, 5:00 p.m. by the football concession stand
Wacky Olympics, 5:30 p.m. on the football field
Powderpuff at 7:45 on the football field
Bonfire, 8:30 Royalty announcement

Friday, October 10th
Pep assembly, 12:45 p.m. , King and Queen announced
Early dismissal, after the assembly
Homecoming Parade, 2:30p.m.
Lincoln Railers Football game, 7:00 p.m.
Royalty, Class Floats and Class Winner will be announced at halftime

Saturday, October 11th
Float teardown, 9:00 a.m.
Homecoming Dance, 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the back gym
