SEPTEMBER 25 - LAWN MOWERS 

Shivvers is recalling Country Clipper Riding Lawn Mowers sold nationwide and in Canada from October 2011 to May 2014. The ignition module can fail to ground, resulting in overheating and melting, posing a fire hazard. 

This recall involves model year 2012, 2013 and 2014 Country Clipper riding lawn mowers. A complete list can be found at www.recalls.org.

OFF-ROAD VEHICLES 

Bad Boy Buggies is recalling Bad Boy Buggies Off-Road Vehicles sold nationwide from August 2012 to May 2014. Incorrect parking brake adjustments and improperly bled brake lines can diminish a consumer’s braking ability, posing a crash hazard. 

This recall involves gas- and electric-powered, four-wheeled recreational vehicles manufactured by Bad Boy Buggies. The recalled off-road vehicles have serial numbers ranging from 8004970 through 8012901. More info can be found at www.recalls.org.

BISTRO CHAIRS 

Ross Stores is recalling Metal Bistro Chairs sold exclusively at Ross stores nationwide from February 2014 to April 2014. The chair’s seat can fail to attach to the frame when the chair is unfolded, causing the chair to collapse. 

 This recall involves metal folding bistro chairs that are orange and have perforations on the seat. SKU 400101018858 is found on the product hangtag.  

Consumers should return the chairs to any Ross store for a full refund. More info at www.recalls.org.

SEPTEMBER 23 - GAS FIREPLACES 

Hearth & Home Technologies is recalling Gas fireplaces, gas stoves, gas inserts and log sets sold nationwide from May 2014 to July 2014. The gas valve in the unit can leak, posing a fire hazard. 

This recall involves Hearth & Home Technologies®, Heat-N-Glo®, Heatilator®, Outdoor Lifestyles® and Quadra Fire® natural or propane gas indoor and outdoor fireplaces, stoves, inserts and log sets. The brand names and serial numbers can be found at www.recalls.org. 

Consumers should contact the fireplace store where the unit was purchased to arrange for a free inspection and, if necessary, valve replacement.

SEPTEMBER 18 - FIRE ALARM BASE 

Siemens is recalling SBGA-34 Audible Fire Alarm Base sold nationwide from February 2013 to June 2014. The fire alarm base can fail to sound an alarm, posing a risk of personal injury and property damage. 

This recall involves the SBGA-34 audible base that is affixed to ceiling-mounted smoke detectors in order to sound an alarm when the fire alarm system is activated. The audible base has part number S54370-F13 and date codes 0113 through 2314 in a WWYY format printed on a white label on the back of the unit part affixed to the wall. “MODEL SBGA-34” is printed on a blue label also affixed to the back of the device. SEPTEMBER 16 - CHILDREN'S SWINGS 

IKEA is recalling GUNGGUNG child’s swing sold exclusively at IKEA stores nationwide and in Canada from June 2014 to August 2014. The suspension fittings can break causing a child to fall from the swing, posing a risk of serious injury.

GUNGGUNG is intended for indoor and outdoor use by children ages 3-7. A permanent label is attached to one of the suspension straps, showing age recommendation (3-7), IKEA logo, Design and Quality IKEA of Sweden, GUNGGUNG article number 302.439.74, supplier number 17915 and Made in Vietnam. 

Consumers should return the swing to any IKEA store for a full refund. Proof of purchase is not required to receive a full refund for the return.

SEPTEMBER 11  - SMOKE/CO ALARMS 

Kidde is recalling Kidde hard-wired smoke and combination smoke/carbon monoxide (CO) alarms sold nationwide and in Canada from January 2014 to July 2014. The alarms could fail to alert consumers of a fire or a CO incident following a power outage. 

This recall involves Kidde residential smoke alarm model i12010S with manufacture dates between December 18, 2013 and May 13, 2014, combination smoke/CO alarm il2010SCO with manufacture dates between December 30, 2013 and May 13, 2014, and combination smoke/CO alarm model KN-COSM-IBA with manufacture date between October 22, 2013 and May 13, 2014.

SEPTEMBER 10 - BOYS' JACKETS 

Benetton is recalling Boy’s hooded jacket with a waist drawstring sold exclusively at Benetton stores nationwide from January 2014 to March 2014. The jackets have a drawstring at the waist that could become snagged or caught in small spaces or vehicle doors, posing significant entanglement hazard. 

This recall involves United Colors of Benetton boy’s jackets made of 100% cotton. Style number 2GQ1534Q0 is on the white label located inside the jacket near the waist. 

Consumers should remove the drawstrings to eliminate the hazard or contact Benetton at (800) 535-4491 from 9 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or online at www.benetton.com for a full refund. More info at www.recalls.org. 

RUBBER TUBES 

Coleman is recalling Rubber River Tubes sold exclusively by Walmart from January 2014 to July 2014. Contact with the tube can cause skin irritation. 

This recall involves Sevylor brand River Racer inflatable rubber tubes. The tubes have the Sevylor logo and name, and the River Racer logo and name printed in blue on the outer side. Model  number 2000014090 is located on the inner side of the tube below the bottom left corner of the English language warning.

SEPTEMBER 9 - KICKBOARDING SYSTEMS

Cabrinha is recalling Cabrinha Kiteboarding 1X and Overdrive 1X Control Systems sold nationwide in August 2014. The RecoilTM spring on the control mechanism can jam, leading to a loss of control, which poses a risk of injury.

The 1X and the Overdrive 1X control systems are both comprised of a light-weight control bar to control and depower the kite, a set of flying lines and a harness loop/quick release (QR) mechanism. The 1X control system (model number KS51XCSFX) is a fixed length and is available in two sizes: 45 cm and 55 cm. The Overdrive 1X (model number KS5CSSDODO) is adjustable between two bar lengths and comes in sizes: 48-56 cm and 57-62 cm. Model numbers are located on a cloth tab attached to the bungee line restrainers at the end of the bars.
