[April 01, 2015]  March 31 (The Sports Xchange) - Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant underwent surgery Tuesday and is expected to be sidelined four to six months after a bone graft procedure performed in New York.

After consulting two specialists, Durant opted for season-ending surgery. He averaged 25.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 27 games this season.

New York Knicks president Phil Jackson urged the team's season ticket-holders to exercise patient and trust that he will be able to rebuild the franchise.

The Knicks have endured one of the worst seasons in franchise history, but Jackson told supporters in a video message and letter on Monday not to lose hope, assuring them that he has a place for the offseason.

Los Angeles Clippers forward Glen Davis was fined $15,000 by the NBA on Tuesday for kicking a seat cushion into the stands during a game.

The incident occurred during a timeout with 4:16 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Clippers' 119-106 win over the Boston Celtics on Sunday at TD Garden in Boston. (Editing by Frank Pingue)
