- Stephen James, 69, of Lincoln, formerly of Marion, died at 1:05
p.m. March 31, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

Obituary
Stephen was born August 22, 1945 in Decatur, the son
of Robert W. and Helen Greene James, both have
preceded him in death.
Stephen is survived by his special friend, Kathy
Gannon James; stepson, John (Sandy) Black of
Paducah, KY; grandchildren: Jeremy and Rebecca
Henrichsmeyer; his sister, Connie Traughber of
Normal, and his brother, David (Linda) James of
Cresthill; two nephews, Jason Traughber and Mike
(Janet) James; one niece, Roberta James; two great
nieces and one great nephew.
Stephen had worked for the State of Illinois and
formerly at Blankenship Auto Parts in Marion. He
proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was
a long standing member of the Elks Club #800 in
Marion at which he served as Exalted Ruler from
2001-2002. |
A memorial service for Stephen will be held at 10:00
a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln with
Greg Wooten officiating. Memorials may be given in
his name to the Parkinson Research Center.
