[April 03, 2015]  Blackhawks 3, Canucks 1: Marcus Kruger scored one goal and set up another as host Chicago wrapped up a playoff berth for the seventh straight season.

Captain Jonathan Toews scored the tiebreaking goal and rookie Teuvo Teravainen also tallied as the Blackhawks remained one point behind St. Louis and closed within three of Central Division-leading Nashville. Corey Crawford made 35 saves as Chicago extended its winning streak to three games.

Derek Dorsett scored the lone goal for Vancouver, which suffered its seventh loss in eight visits to the Windy City (1-4-3). Eddie Lack turned aside 35 shots for the Canucks, who remained four points ahead of Calgary for second place in the Pacific Division.

After Marian Hossa deflected defenseman Johnny Oduya's blast off the crossbar, Toews reached in with the blade of his stick and tapped in the puck at 8:04 of the third period to snap a 1-1 deadlock. Kruger added an insurance tally 2:27 later, breaking in alone and tucking a backhander past Lack.

Kruger set up the opening goal at 6:51 of the first session, sliding a pass back to Teravainen for a wrister from the right faceoff circle. Dorsett pounced on a giveaway by Chicago defenseman Michal Rozsival and fired the puck into the top left corner of the net for the equalizer with 1:14 left in the period.
