Recently the seventh and
eighth grade students at Zion Lutheran School were visited by three
local veterans of World War 2 and the Korean Conflict. Bill
Gossett and Orvil Shaffer served during World War 2 and Wayne Sheley
served in Korea.

Orvil Shaffer also served in World War 2.
Today he is a great proponent of the Honor Flight Porgram. The
program offers veterans an opportunity for a free trip to Washington
D.C., where they may visit the various memorials to American Wars. |
