Huff's batting a bright spot in ugly loss for Toppers

[April 07, 2015]   MOUNT PULASKI - Brett Huff focuses on the New Berlin pitcher Monday afternoon. The Toppers 5-game winning streak came to an end as the New Berlin Pretzels easily defeated Mt. Pulaski 9-1.

Huff was 2 for 3 and continued to swing the hottest bat on the Toppers and lifted his team-leading batting average to .500 on Monday.

The Toppers only run came in the first inning as Brayden Curry doubled and scored on an RBI single by Beau Collier. Beau Collier (0-1) gave up seven runs in four innings pitched. Caleb Przykopanski pitched two innings and gave up two runs.

The Toppers record is now even at 5 wins and 5 losses. The Toppers host the Bullets today at 4:30 pm.
