Pictured Left to right are Bill Gossett, Wayne Sheley, and Orvil Shaffer.

Gossett shares his insight to World War 2.

All three men were classmates in the class of 1941 at Lincoln Community High School.

Gossett talks about the structure of the World War 2 LCVP (Landing Craft, vehicle person) that transported solider from ship to shore in preparation for battle.

A great day in American History.

Orvil Shaffer also served in World War 2.  Today he is a great proponent of the Honor Flight Porgram.  The program offers veterans an opportunity for a free trip to Washington D.C., where they may visit the various memorials to American Wars.

Shaffer discusses the Korean War Memorial in Washington D.C.

Gossett also talks about the Memorial.  The Memorial depicts a common sight during the Korean War;  American Soldiers dressed in rain gear wading through rice paddies.
