[April 13, 2015]  BLOOMINGTON – Miller Park Zoo will celebrate Earth Day with Party for the Planet on Saturday, April 18 from 1-3 pm.

Party for the Planet is an event held at Association of Zoos and Aquarium facilities throughout the country. Miller Park Zoo uses this event as a way to show guests how they can lead ecofriendly and healthy lifestyles from within our community. Enjoy meeting local community organizations who support environmental education, service, and recreation. To demonstrate environmental leadership, this year participants are encouraged to bring their own reusable bag to the event. Earth friendly, educational interactives will include a recycle relay, hoola hooping, amazing animal encounters, and crafts brought to you by our fabulous group of local community educators.

Event is free with Zoo admission. Admission to Miller Park Zoo for youths (ages 3-12) and seniors (60 and better) is $4.95 per person, and adult admission is $6.95 per person. Admission for children under 3 is free. Parking is also free. Bring your entire family out to the Zoo for Party for the Planet!
