Mellon, who hails from Quincy, is a high school teacher and an
ex-Marine. He is interested in seeking the seat that Aaron Schock
resigned from March 31st following ethical issues with the U.S.
House of Representatives.
This race is receiving national attention due to the resignation.
There will be a special primary election held on July 7th. The
public is invited and encouraged to attend.
