Big Band Back from the Big Easy
Lincoln College Jazz Ensemble Concert Friday, April 24

[April 23, 2015]  LINCOLN - The Lincoln College Jazz Ensemble will perform their annual spring concert on Friday, April 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Johnston Center for the Performing Arts on the Lincoln campus.

The concert is titled “Back from the Big Easy” and will feature several of the nationally recognized charts played at the Heritage Festival in New Orleans, La., which the band attended earlier in the semester. The concert will feature all six of the seniors who are graduating from the Jazz Studies program in May. General admission is $3.

A silent auction will be held in the lobby prior to the concert; auction items include jazz art, a marble chess set, a framed Lincoln assassination poster, and a wine rack with wine, among other items; auction proceeds support the jazz studies program and activities.
