[August 01, 2015]  LINCOLN - Dan Tackett will sign copies of his book, “Big Stories from a Small Town,” today (Saturday, Aug. 1) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lincoln IGA store in downtown Lincoln. Another book signing will run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at The Outpost in Armington, Tackett’s hometown.

“Big Stories from a Small Town” is a collection of essays about Tackett’s pre-teen and teenage years in Armington, a small village of 350 not far from the Logan County line in southern Tazewell County. Most of the stories are about the many characters who inhabited the town and left lasting memories for the author.

Tackett will also have a booth at the Logan County Fair to promote his book. He’ll be available during most evening hours of the fair, which officially opens Tuesday.

Copies of the book are also available at Prairie Years, a book store in downtown Lincoln, which will host the author for another book signing from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 5 Books can also be ordered through www.dannytackett.com.
