Saturday evening
On Saturday evening, the stage heats up with top country music
artists. Dustin Lynch headlines the grandstand show and local
favorite Brushville will open the show.
Dustin Lynch
This young new artist hits the deep range in an effortless smooth
lilt almost too good to be true.
Lynch occupies a unique place in today's country music. Thanks to
his classic sensibilities, he's been heralded as the heir to George
Strait's throne. Yet with on listen to his two-week #1 smash, "Where
It's At", it's obvious the young Tennessean knows how to combine his
traditional influences with an edgy intensity that places him at the
vanguard of today's contemporary county scene.
Lynch whose recent single “Hell of a Night” is currently moving up
on the Billboard charts. The show will start at 7:30 with gates
opening at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 in the Grandstand at the Logan
County Fair.

Lynch, 29, who co-wrote his first single “Cowboys and Angels”

became a modern day country classic, ending the year as one of
Billboard’s Top 5 Country Songs of 2012. He quickly followed with
“She Cranks My Tractor” which reached #1 on GAC’s Top 20 Country
Countdown and has sold over 100,000 copies.
The Broken Bow Records artist combines traditional influence with an
edgy intensity that makes him one of today’s most successful young
artists.
Brushville
Brushville is no stranger to the central Illinois music fans and was the opening
act at the 2014 Logan County Fair grandstand act. Brushville is being sought out
by the biggest and best events that the industry has to offer, including
Chicago’s Country Music festival, Country Fest and Country Thunder in Wisconsin.
Brushville won the Battle for the Saddle at Nashville, Tennessee’s legendary
Wildhorse Saloon in early 2012. Out of the over 300 national bands that entered,
Brushville came out on top and was selected the winner by a panel of top
industry professionals including Michael Knox who is the one credited with
“discovering” talents such as Jason Aldean, John Rich and Gretchen Wilson.
Brushville also has a Lincoln connection with Kirk Ellis playing guitar and
fiddle.
