Graveside Service: Monday, August 10, at 11:30 a.m. at Mountjoy Cemetery

Jessie E. Bishop Frantz, 97, of Atlanta, passed away on Tuesday, August 4 , 2015 at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Normal.

Graveside Services will be held on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at Mountjoy Cemetery with Dr. LC Sutton officiating.

Jessie E. Bishop was born on March 31, 1918 in Logan County, the daughter of Harry and Litta Ferguson Bishop. She was united in marriage with Wilbur Graham Frantz on November 28, 1939 in Palmyra, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 19, 2013.

Jessie is survived by her two sons: Larry Graham Frantz of Gilbert, Ariz., and Billy Dean (Vickie) Frantz of Chenoa; two sisters: Shirley Floyd of Atlanta, and Matilda McRoberts of Paxton; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by siblings Harriet Boyd, Sarah Loving and Jr. Bishop.

Funeral Director

Jessie graduated from Hittle Township High School in Armington. She was a member of the Eminence Christian Church and Eminence Ladies Aide. Jessie retired from Lehn and Fink in Lincoln after 20 years of service.

Memorials may be made to the Eminence Christian Church, Atlanta Fire Department or the Atlanta Rescue Squad.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.
