[August 24, 2015]  MASON CITY – Return to the thrilling days of yesteryear when men risked their lives for your entertainment.

In the days before TV, the local theater provided our main entertainment. Danger Circus at the Arlee Theater is a charming return to the days where the action was on stage. Atlas Obscura is pleased to present Danger Circus in this quintessential "Main Street USA" venue on Saturday, Aug. 29.

The Danger Circus Company will demonstrate acts of daring-do that may make you cringe, but will certainly make you smile. You'll see glass walking, knife juggling, dangerous escapes, and their unique blend of illusion and sketch comedy. They do these things so you don't have to.

Beware: Some acts and exhibits are not for the squeamish.

The 7 p.m. adult show is open for children 10 and up, and there will be photo opportunities before and after the show. Doors open at 6:30. For tickets, visit www.atlasobscura.com,  go to events and scroll down to the Arlee Theater.
