[August 25, 2015]  Aug 24 (The Sports Xchange) - The Phoenix Suns will induct two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Steve Nash into the team's Ring of Honor this season.

Nash will be honored on Friday, Oct. 30 at halftime of the Suns-Portland Trail Blazers game at Talking Stick Resort Arena, the team announced Monday.

Nash led the Suns to their best record in franchise history in 2004-05, and earned back-to-back MVP awards in 2005 and 2006.

The Houston Rockets re-signed guard Jason Terry.

Terry, 37, played in 77 games for the Rockets last season, averaging 7.0 points, 1.9 assists and 1.6 rebounds in 21.3 minutes per game.

Free agent center Jeff Withey has agreed to sign a two-year, partially guaranteed contract with the Utah Jazz, Yahoo Sports reported on Monday.

The 7-foot Withey, 25, played his first two NBA seasons with the New Orleans Pelicans, averaging 2.6 points, 1.7 rebounds and 7.0 minutes while playing in 37 games for the Pelicans in 2014-2015. (Editing by Larry Fine) ))
