[August 25, 2015]  LINCOLN - Kenneth L. “Dutch” Snyder, 83, of Lincoln passed away at 7:05 p.m. August 20, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

Visitation: From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln

Service: Wednesday, August 26, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home

Obituary

Kenneth L. “Dutch” Snyder, 83, of Lincoln passed away at 7:05 p.m. August 20, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

Dutch was born February 28, 1932 the son of Adam J. and Ella Mae Rohrer Snyder. He married Myra Ann “Pete” Petro August 18, 1951 at Gulf Port, MS. She preceded him in death February 18, 2013.

Dutch is survived by two daughters: Jennie (Gregg) Smith of Leroy, Vicki (Jerry) Schriber of Fort Wayne, IN; one son: Duke Snyder of Springfield; grandchildren: Maia Crespin, Dustin Schriber and Shannon Snyder; one sister: Pat Snyder of Lincoln; one brother: Tony (Mary) Snyder of Mountain Home, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sons: Mark and Eric Snyder; brothers: Melvin “Buck” and Robert Snyder and sisters: Betty Smith, Ethelene “Peggy” White, and Mae Pence.

 

Dutch retired as a foreman from Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co, Lincoln. He proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge #2708 for over 40 years having served as Past President and Trustee. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and his family.

Services for Dutch will be Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln with Tim Searby officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery with full Military Rites accorded by the Lincoln American Legion Post #263. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to Humane Society of Logan County.
