[August 29, 2015]  PHOENIX -- Paul Goldschmidt hit a two-run homer to cap a four-run seventh inning and the Arizona Diamondbacks broke a four-game losing streak in a 6-4 victory over the Oakland A's on Friday night at Chase Field.

Second baseman Chris Owings and pinch-hitter Aaron Hill hit back-to-back doubles off Sonny Gray to break a 2-2 tie leading off the seventh and center fielder A.J. Pollock singled off switch-pitcher Pat Venditte for a 4-2 lead to bring up Goldschmidt.

Goldschmidt's homer, his 26th of the season, hit the base of the video scoreboard in center field and was estimated at 466 feet. He hit a 471-foot homer on Wednesday. He leads the National League with 96 RBIs.

A's shortstop Marcus Semien had two doubles and scored a run.

Trailing 2-0, Arizona tied the score with two unearned runs in the sixth. Right fielder Ender Inciarte walked to open the inning and took second on a passed ball. Gray struck out Goldschmidt, but catcher Stephen Vogt mishandled the pitch for another passed ball to put runners on first and third.

Left fielder David Peralta doubled to drive in one run and catcher Welington Castillo's foul sacrifice fly tied the score at 2.

Arizona right-hander Chase Anderson gave up two runs and five hits in six innings. He struck out three and got 12 ground-ball outs.

[to top of second column]

Shortstop Marcus Semien hit his first double with out in the third inning, took third on Gray's groundout to second base and scored on Burns' single down the left-field line.

Arizona had three baserunners in the first five innings. Lamb singled in the second and fifth and Peralta walked with two outs in the fourth.

The Diamondbacks got a runner to third base with two outs in the fifth after second baseman Brett Lawrie's throwing error, but Gray escaped the inning. The error was Oakland's 103rd of the season, the most in the majors.

NOTES: First-year Arizona manager Chip Hale spent six seasons with A's manager Bob Melvin, as the third base/infield coach in Arizona from 2007 to 2009 and as bench coach in Oakland from 2012-14.
