In a quick stop at Logan Lanes, Shawn Taylor pointed out that

The fireplace surround was designed by her husband and co-owner,
Mark Shew. The wood is re-purposed barn siding and the black stone
was actually a slate chalk board reclaimed from the original Central
School.

quick to show their cold weather selection of Carhartt jackets,
jeans and bib overalls, both available for men and women. They also

also can be used for smoking a variety of meats.
Don’t forget Ace for your Christmas decorating supplies either. They
are offering a Simple Shape Tree 'to help squelch the chatter' in

A stop in P&M Communications brought forward recommendations
from Bob Metz and Scott Billington. Flat screen T.V.s, and curved

Our four-legged friends/pets need to be remembered too. Kim Mathias
and Matt Viner at Lincoln Animal Hospital were quick to point

collar is infused with pheromones giving the cat their own personal
aroma therapy treatment. The smells actually help the cats relax and
become less nervous, which may be a help as the activities in the
home get more hectic than their usual routine.

Mary Todd Hallmark staff member, Samantha Unmisig, was quick
to create a style show modeling a Vera Bradley Scarf and holding a
pair of Simply Noel Boot Socks. Rounding out the outfit was a purse
by Ginger Snap. In addition to accessories, candles and cards, a
host of gift ideas abound throughout the store and there's something
for every age.
Flossie & Delzena's is the stop for a delicious beverage and
sandwich, or cup of soup. Peruse their gift shop area, and find
beautiful hand made selections from local artisans. A wide variety
of arrangements, paintings, and one of a kind craft items only begin
the list. Heather Cosby is the owner and tour guide of this new on
the Historic Courthouse Square in Lincoln establishment.
At McQuellon's Appliances, Mike Werschey, is offering a
Crosley 20.5 cubic foot upright camouflaged deep freezer. While
ideal for that hunter in your life, there is plenty of room for the
baked ahead Christmas cookies and desserts. Just as a reminder,

Prairie Years is undergoing a great change. Kathy Schmidt
shared that they will be resetting the store with a focus more on
children. Watch for their grand re-opening when books, puzzles, toys

counting, and read along books, round out the selection for the
younger tots.
Make it Sew owner Lori Elliott celebrates her first Christmas
on the southwest corner of the Square. Pop-in and check out her

repairs and classes. Available to rent by the hour is a long arm
quilting machine. This will make quick work of finishing off your
heirloom quilt project.

home warmer this winter!
Abby Coers of Central Illinois Ag could be found at 200
Sharon Street in Atlanta. She shared 'Pillow Pets' are the rage this
Christmas. These come in tractor and combine shapes and flatten for
nap time.”
