- John T. Mosier, 88, of Lincoln passed away at 12:12 a.m.
Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center,
Springfield.

Obituary
John T. Mosier, 88, of Lincoln passed away at 12:12
a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Memorial
Medical Center, Springfield.
John was born September 7, 1927 in Atlanta, the son
of Charles Theodore and Myrtle Hazel Werhley Mosier.
He married Patricia E. Buchanan September 4, 1949 in
Lincoln. Patricia preceded him in death June 21,
2001.
John is survived by one daughter: Rhonda (Michael)
Donovan of Normal; three sons: Mike (Donna) Mosier
of Lawrenceville; Charles (Sheree) Mosier of
Bloomington; Russell (Tammie) Mosier of Lincoln; one
sister: Mary Etta Greer of Lincoln; twelve
grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son:
Jesse, three sisters: Evelyn, Isabelle, and Irma and
one brother: Forrest. |
John was a retired truck driver. He was a member of
Immanuel Lutheran Church and the American Legion
Post # 263. John proudly served in the U.S. Navy
during W.W. II.
Services for John will be at 12:00 noon Tuesday,
December 1, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church of
Lincoln with Rev. Candida Turner. Visitation will be
from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. prior to the service at
the church. Burial will follow the service at Zion
Cemetery, Lincoln with full military rites accorded
by the Lincoln American Legion Post #263 Honor
Guard. Memorials may be given in John’s name to the
American Legion Post # 263 or the American Cancer
Society. Services were entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
