In many
ways, it was a perfect night on Thursday for a
parade in Lincoln. The temperatures were just cold
enough to make the atmosphere feel "Christmassy" but
not so cold as to keep people home. For one
youngster in particular it was not just a perfect
night, it was a magical night. Young Skylar Wilson
had the honor of riding in the sleigh with Santa
Claus throughout the parade! For those who don't
know, Santa doesn't bring his real reindeer into
town and all the crowds. They were safely tucked
away in a location outside of town. Because of this,
he has a custom made sleigh and reindeer that is
reserved exclusively for him and his ride in the
Lincoln Christmas Parade. Each year, parents enter
their children for an opportunity to ride in that
special sleigh. This year it was Skylar. He is the
son of Aaron and Ashley Wilson and was nominated for
the ride by his grandfather Dennis Wilson.
